A Lion in Babylon

Already in the early days of mankind humans were impressed by lions and they produced images of us. The picture shows a Babylonian lion from the first half of the 6th century BC. This walking lion can be seen in the Louvre Museum in Paris. When you are in Paris on vacation or a weekend off, visit the Louvre and you will see even more lions there than in a zoo!
